Mother & Son backpack around the world

A mother and her 12-year-old son have spent three years backpacking the world, according to The Guardian.
Theodora Sutcliffe began travelling with her sonwhen he was nine, in what was supposed to be a one year trip.
However, they soon realised that one year was not enough time to truly experience the world. They knew they’d only be able to spend one or two nights in each place and would have to skip many of the most interesting and hard to reach places.
They also loved Indonesia and spent a considerable amount of time there.
Sutcliffe supports herself by working as a freelance writer, while her son studies with a combination of local and online teachers. He is able to get a better education this way and both are able to lead a more comfortable life than they could in their native London. They are also able to have a lot more fun.The pair is visiting Mongolia next before heading back to the UK for a holiday.
